The official Instagram page of Lynyrd Skynyrd shared a post announcing their live show at the Welcome to Rockville Festival. In addition to the band’s concert on the festival’s third day, numerous metal and rock artists will also perform, including Metallica, Slipknot, Rob Zombie.
For those of you who may not know, Welcome the Rockville is a rock music festival held annually at Metropolitan Park in Jacksonville, Florida, for the past decade. In 2020 the venue changed to Daytona Beach, but the event was canceled just like many other public gatherings due to the coronavirus pandemic.
This year’s event will take place between November 11 and 14, at its new home at the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. The 2021 event features a massive lineup featuring some of the biggest musicians of the rock and metal scenes. Some of the headliners are Metallica, Nine Inch Nails, Disturbed, Mastodon, Stone Temple Pilots, Deftones, and many more.
In addition to those extraordinary artists, Lynyrd Skynyrd will also be performing at this year’s Welcome the Rockville, which they announced via a post on their official Instagram page. In the post, the band shared the whole line-up of the festival and expressed their enthusiasm for the upcoming organization.
Furthermore, the band referred to the festival as Florida’s ‘largest rock experience.’ They have every right to define it like that, as it will likely be the largest celebration of the return of live music after a year filled with restrictions and precautions.
In the IG post, Lynyrd Skynyrd captioned:
“Daytona Beach! We can’t wait to see you all at the Rockville Festival in just a couple of months! Celebrate the return of live music for FOUR nights at Florida’s largest rock experience.”
