Halestorm frontwoman Lzzy Hale recently gave an interview to Classic Rock and stated that three bands fronted by women became chart-toppers, but their war isn’t over.

Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale and Evanescence’s Amy Lee kicked off their US co-headlining tour on November 5, 2021, at Portland. They then had to postpone the remaining dates for January after a performance on November 7. They have continued their tour together, and it was well-received by many as both bands are prominent female-fronted bands in the scene.

Moreover, both frontwomen are strong and talented musicians who achieved great successes throughout their music careers. Hale and Lee have been friends for a long time, and they both support each other as well as other women in the rock music scene despite the stigma surrounding female rockers.

In an interview with Classic Rock, Lzzy Hale shared her thoughts on the recent achievement of Halestorm, Evanescence, and The Pretty Reckless as they are now in the Top Ten of the US Rock Radio Chart. According to the musician, their war isn’t over, but they have won some big battles.

Moreover, Hale said she noticed a change in the rock music scene while on tour with Amy Lee as they were the only women on the touring circuit a few years ago while many other women now top the charts and there will be more to rock the stages. She added that rock music is genderless, and female audiences come to the shows not because their boyfriends bring them.

In the interview with Classic Rock, Lzzy Hale said the following:

“Well, the war isn’t over yet, but some pretty big battles have been won. Right now I’m on tour with Amy Lee, and we are noticing a real change. Just a few short years ago, we were not only the sole females in our bands but also the only ones on the touring circuit. Now female musicians are on the charts, and many more come to rock shows.

The split used to be sixty-forty percent [in favor of males], but now it’s flipped. And that’s a beautiful thing. Females are not coming to the shows because their boyfriends brought them. We are proving once and for all that this rock music that we love is completely genderless.

Currently, Halestorm is on tour with Evanescence, and they are expecting to hit the road for their next UK tour later this month. Moreover, the band is planning to release its fifth album ‘Back From The Dead’ on May 6, 2022.
