Halestorm frontwoman Lzzy Hale recently posted a photo of herself on her Instagram account and described how the pandemic has changed her approach to life while encouraging her fans to look out for the signs telling them that they haven‘t been living their life to the fullest.
Lzzy Hale is without a doubt one of the most well-known frontpeople in the rock scene and she achieved mainstream fame as the co-founder of Halestorm alongside her brother Arejay. Although in the past she often used her social media accounts to announce her upcoming projects and update her fans, she has lately been posting sneak peeks from her life and opening up about the way she has been coping with the ongoing pandemic.
Lzzy recently posted a photo of herself at her favorite pizza place in Nashville, which was taken by her partner Joe Hottinger, and wrote a long letter in which she described her thoughts about the future. She said that she is looking forward to going to restaurants again, meeting friends, returning to her front-row spot at her favorite music venues to watch local shows, and mostly, to see who she will be when this is all over.
She said that this challenging year has changed the way she perceives life and as she sees it, there are two alternatives to how humans can continue their lives. They can either embark on a new future with ‘newfound clarity, love, and appreciation,’ or ‘choose to be selfish and ignorant of the lessons we have learned.’ She went on to say that she definitely chooses love and that she can‘t wait to start her life all over again.
Here’s what Lzzy Hale said in the caption of her recent Instagram post:
“This picture was taken by Joe Hottinger a few years B.C. (Before Covid) at my favorite pizza joint in Nashville, Desanos. I’m looking forward to going to restaurants again, with a ton of friends. I’m looking forward to resuming my usual spot in the front row checking out all the local shows at my favorite venues music city has to offer. But I’m mostly looking forward to the person I will be when all of this is over. None of us are the people we once were, this whole situation has changed us. It revealed our ugliness and division as well as our unity and strength.
We will have the choice when the world opens up to embrace our future with newfound clarity, love, and appreciation, or we will choose to be selfish and ignorant of the lessons we have learned. I choose love. We have had a front-row seat experience to just how wrong things can get, and how short life can be. I for one, will not take it for granted. Be your true self, be unapologetic about pursuing your happiness, tell the people you love that you love them, make the art you want. See you all on the other side!”
