Halestorm frontwoman Lzzy Hale recently posted a photo of herself on her Instagram account talked about the importance of being yourself when it comes to your sexual orientation or gender identity, and encouraged her fans to write their own story with capital letters.

There is no doubt that Lzzy Hale is one of the most famous frontpeople of the 21st century, and she reached worldwide fame as the lead vocalist and co-founder of Halestorm alongside her brother Arejay. Aside from an influential musician, Lzzy Hale is also an inspiring social media figure and she often uses her Instagram account to give her fans advice on various issues.

Lzzy Hale’s sexuality has become a topic of discussion multiple times before. As you may recall, back in 2017 Lzzy Hale had made it public that she identifies as bisexual when she replied to a fan’s question about her sexual orientation. However, she had also expressed her discomfort considering the mentioning of her sexual orientation in news articles because she found it unnecessary.

Lzzy is one of the biggest LGBTQIA+ and feminist icons in the rock scene and she definitely enjoys carrying that flag. However, this doesn’t mean that she necessarily enjoys other people discussing her gender identity and sexual orientation. In her recent post, Lzzy Hale talked about her personality and clothing style and described it as ‘half tomboy, half bombshell’ while saying that she loves both sides of herself.

She went on to encourage her fans to dress according to their own preference and how they feel comfortable expressing themselves, instead of changing themselves based on other people’s opinions. She went on to say that everyone should be confident in their ‘unique human existence‘ regardless of their gender or sexual orientation and that it’s ‘your story’ to write, not others’.

Here’s what Lzzy Hale said in the caption of her recent Instagram post:

“Half tomboy, half bombshell… I love both of these sides of me (que Mz Hyde). Wear what you want, short hair, long hair, high heels, sneakers, short skirt, pants, wear make-up or don’t, show skin or don’t, get naked or don’t. The only thing that matters is that you do it for YOU. This goes for ALL GENDERS and sexual orientations. Be confident and comfy in your own unique human existence. Your story is, and always will be YOURS, write it in permanent ink and in CAPITAL LETTERS! XO 📸 by Joe Hottinger”
