In an interview with Youth Code’s Sara Taylor, the iconic musician Marilyn Manson talked about his upcoming album, ‘We Are Chaos,’ and revealed how concerned he was when Ozzy Osbourne‘s health condition suddenly got worse.
Earlier in August, Marilyn Manson shared the video of the title track of his upcoming album, ‘We Are Chaos,‘ on his Twitter account. Manson’s highly-anticipated new album would be available on September 11, 2020.
Recently, Marilyn Manson joined an interview with Youth Code’s Sara Taylor for Revolver Magazine to talk about his new project and the plans for the future of his music. During the conversation, Taylor asked him about his feelings regarding the upcoming album and the current state of the world struggling with the Covid-19 pandemic.
As a response to the question, Manson revealed how his plans changed after Ozzy Ozbourne’s health status got worse last year. As you might remember, Osbourne has suffered from several medical issues last year. At the beginning of 2020, Ozzy publicly revealed that he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in February 2019.
Over the course of the last few years, he had to deal with several other health issues, including a traumatic fall and pneumonia. Although he has been getting better every day, Ozzy previously stated that he didn’t feel like he was totally back.
As Marilyn Manson explained during the interview, he couldn’t release his album sooner due to the unexpected cancellation of the Ozzy tour and the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic. Apparently, Manson was deeply concerned about Osbourne’s health condition which made him freak out a little.
Here’s what Marilyn Manson stated regarding his feelings about Ozzy Ozbourne’s health:
“‘We Are Chaos’, lyrically, and for the most part musically, was written about a year and a half ago, and the record was finished in January. We were supposed to release it sooner.
Then the Ozzy tour that we were meant to do was canceled because he was ill, and then I was a little bit freaked out, in the sense that I was concerned about him. And then also, I had to figure out, ‘What am I going to do with the rest of my year?‘
And then the pandemic happened, so that answered the question of what am I going to do for the rest of the year.”
