Blink 182 bassist Mark Hoppus admitted that he has been feeling terrible this week and revealed the newly growing hair on his ‘cancer-ass head’ with an Instagram post.
On June 23, Mark Hoppus made an announcement stating he has been battling cancer for three months. Following that, within the next month, he underwent a test that would indicate whether he can recover. The results were hopeful as they showed that Hoppus’ chemotherapy treatment is working. However, the bassist still had months of treatment ahead.
Ever since he announced he has cancer, Hoppus has always kept a positive attitude. In almost every one of his social media accounts, he has stressed that he won’t give up fighting.
Recently, Hoppus posted Instagram stories in which he revealed his recovery progress. Moreover, former Blink-182 member Tom DeLonge also shared a post on Instagram to ask for their fans’ support. In the post, he also claimed that Hoppus is almost done with his treatment.
Although Hoppus always seems optimistic, he recently revealed that he had a terrible week. The bassist also showed the hair growing on top of his head in the post and called it his ‘cancer-ass head.’ Following that, he jokingly said this is what God sees when he looks down upon him. Despite feeling terrible, it seems like Hoppus is still trying to stay positive.
Mark Hoppus’ Instagram post read:
“Hahaha. Look at this trash. This is the top of my head right now. This is what God sees when He looks down upon His work and despairs. Cancer-ass head trying to grow back some hair. Awww. Poor little head.
Keep your chin up, fighter. Feeling terrible this week but trying to stay positive and count my blessings. I hope everyone is doing great, staying healthy, and being kind to each other. If anyone needs me, I’ll be on the couch for the foreseeable future.”
