The British musician Mark Knopfler shared on his Instagram account a section from the stripped back version of Dire Straits’ renowned song ‘Romeo and Juliet‘.
Taken from the Ken Bruce’s show in BBC Radio 2, the stripped back version of the classic welcomes the audience with the most simple and soothing sounds.
Whereas the original version of the song, which was first appeared on the 1980 album ‘Making Movies‘, moves to a rock arrangement in the chorus sections, the version Mark shared lately remains in the acoustic tones.
Here is what was said on the Instagram post of Mark’s account:
“In 2018, Mark played a stripped back version of his Dire Straits classic ‘Romeo And Juliet’ on Ken Bruce’s show in the BBC Radio 2 Piano Room.”
