Legendary singer and guitarist, Dire Straits’ Mark Knopfler, revealed his new collaboration with Bob Harris, known as ‘Whispering Bob,’ by sharing a new post on his official Instagram account.
Famous music presenter Bob wanted to raise funds for the musicians in the country during these tough times and agreed with lots of musicians to release a new cover of Ben E. King’s single ‘Stand By Me.’
Mark is one of the musicians who helped Bob to record this song on the 60th anniversary of its release alongside the musicians like Duane Eddy, Paul Rodgers, Peter Frampton, Rick Wakeman, and many more.
While showing his support to both British musicians and Bob, Mark also encouraged the fans to help the musicians who are struggling to increase their income during the coronavirus pandemic and showed how a humble person he is.
Here is what Mark Knopfler wrote:
“Mark recently took part in a special recording of ‘Stand By Me’ alongside an array of artists enlisted by Whispering Bob to raise funds for Help Musicians. Listen via link in bio.
