Tool and Puscifer’s iconic frontman Maynard James Keenan talked about Tool’s latest album ‘Fear Inoculum‘ and disclosed the reason why the band achieved so many significant success.

As you may recall, on August 30, 2019, Tool released their fifth studio album named ‘Fear Inoculum,‘ which was the band’s first album since the release of their 2006 album ‘10,000 Days.

Two songs from the album, ‘Fear Inoculum‘ and ‘7empest,‘ received nominations for Grammy Awards in the categories of Best Rock Song and Best Metal Performance. Yet, only ‘7empest‘ won the Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance.

Moreover, on August 12, 2020, the album received the Gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America for selling half a million copies in the United States.

Recently, the iconic rock vocalist Maynard James Keenan talked about the preparation process of Tool’s ‘Fear Inoculum’ and the success of the album. Apparently, it was pretty challenging for Keenan not being able to share the amazing work they’d done with the fans until the release of the album.

Additionally, Maynard shared the secret behind Tool’s many years of success. According to Keenan, the key to being a successful band was knowing what you really want and not compromising even a little bit.

“When you get successful, you think you’re right about everything. You’re pretty sure, as that individual, ‘I am right and you are wrong.’ It’s not that bad with us.

There’s a dynamic of ‘I want this and I’ve always gotten my way, and that’s why we’re successful because I don’t compromise.’”
