Maynard James Keenan recently posted a tweet on his Twitter account and announced the new honors and titles he received with one of his artistic achievements, other than music.
As you may have heard, the band Tool that Keenan is the vocalist of, received a Grammy Award this year which sadly, Keenan was not there to receive. However, it looks like this Grammy was not the only honor and award Maynard James Keenan was meant to receive this year.
Maynard James Keenan is one of the most multi-tasking rockstars of all time. In his Twitter account’s biography, he describes himself as ‘World Class Multi-tasker, Winemaker, Entertainer, Curmudgeon, Armed Snowflake’ which is actually spot on.
Maynard James Keenan is a huge wine-lover and he is descended from Nothern Italian winemakers. Thus, it should not be surprising that at some in his life he decided to establish a winery of his own. That year was 2004 and he named his winery Caduceus Cellars.
It seems like just like in everything he does in his life, Keenan managed to reflect his strive for perfectionism as a winemaker too. In specific, his ‘Velvet Slippers Club Barbera’ was awarded as the Best In Show at the 2020 Azcentral Arizona Wine Competition.
This title must have made Maynard James Keenan really happy as getting rewards for things that you work for is for sure satisfying. He shared the news article congratulating him for his award on his Twitter account and said that he had a great time during the Arizona Wine Competition.
Here’s what Keenan said on Twitter about the competition:
“Had a pretty damn good day today.“
