The bassist and co-founder of the heavy metal band Megadeth, David Ellefson has recalled the times of ‘Clash of the Titans Tour‘ when Alice in Chains took part as the opening act and revealed what he thinks about them.
On his latest Instagram post, David Ellefson has explained how great was the Alice in Chains mentioning the times when they open the entire ‘Clash of the Titans’ 1991 North American tour. Seeing Alice in Chains was just amazing, they decided to invite the band to the tour, Ellefson said.
The tour David Ellefson has remembered, ‘Clash of the Titans,’ was co-headlined by Megadeth and Slayer, which took place in September and October 1990 and again from May to July 1991. Launched in support of their respective albums ‘Rust in Peace‘ and ‘Seasons in the Abyss, the tour had two legs, first in Europe and second in the United States. It is considered one of the most successful tours in heavy metal history.

“Alice In Chains were so amazing right out of the gate that we immediately invited them to open the entire Clash of the Titans 1991 North American tour a couple months later. And the rest is history…. ‘Rust in Peace,’ Alice in Chains.”
