The official Instagram account of Metallica‘s competition to decide the best Metallica song was finally concluded and the fans’ choice was ‘Master of Puppets.’

As you might remember, almost a month ago, Metallica started a competition named ‘Some Kind of Bracket‘ with 64 songs on their Facebook and Instagram accounts. The fans were asked to fill out a bracket in order to decide the absolute best Metallica song ever. In each round of voting, a song was chosen to pass to the next round.

Yesterday, the band announced that ‘Master Of Puppets‘ and ‘One‘ made it to the final round and wanted their fans to vote for the ultimate decision.

Today, Metallica revealed the results of the competition on their Instagram account. Apparently, ‘Master of Puppets’ was chosen among 64 songs as the absolute best Metallica song ever by the fans.

Here’s how the band announced the winning song of their competition:

The people have spoken and the single song stands alone above the rest. Your champion is ~ drum roll please ~ “MASTER OF PUPPETS!”

Along the way it defeated “Dyers Eve,” “Atlas, Rise!,” “Ride The Lightning,” “Sad But True,” “Fade To Black,” and “One” in head to head match-ups… no wonder that thing is in the Library of Congress! Thanks for playing along with us! #ObeyYourMaster #SomeKindOfBracket
