Metallica shared a post on its official Instagram page announcing that they will have a live performance on a new episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on March 3, marking their definite return to performing on television.

As many of you know, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert is a late-night talk show hosted by famous host Stephen Colbert, which premiered on September 8, 2015, replacing David Letterman who had been the host of Late Show for the past 22 years.

Metallica performed on Super Bowl LV special of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert their iconic song ‘Enter Sandman’ over two weeks ago, thrilling their fans with a marvelous performance in addition to hinting at future possible performances since there aren’t many bands who make appearances on tv shows.

Recently, the official Instagram page of Metallica shared a post announcing that they are going to perform once again in The Late Show with Stephen Colbert this Wednesday, however, the band did not give any details about which iconic song they are going to perform yet, thus, fans are waiting patiently.

Here is what Metallica said:

“We’re returning to the Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Wednesday, March 3 for another performance! Don’t miss us take the stage – the show starts at 11:35 pm/10:35c on CBS-TV.”
