Metallica’s bassist Robert Trujillo’s wife, Chloe Trujillo, recently collaborated with the New Zealand musician Mark Dalbeth and signed a record deal with Golden Robot Records.
Rob met Chloe in the ’90s when she was still in high school, and he was playing in Suicidal Tendencies. Although it wasn’t love at first sight, the pair knew that they were a good match after hanging out a few times together. The couple now has two children, a boy and a girl leading a happy family.
Chloe has been interested in the punk rock and metal scene since she was a little girl and has improved herself in music, performing, and fashion designing throughout the years. It was about time for her to show her talents with a record. Mark and Chloe released a single in early 2021 called ‘Lightning Strikes Twice,’ and she seems very happy with it.
Here is what she said about her new single with Mark Dalbeth in July 2021:
“It’s kind of a heavy song, I would say, which is great. That’s what I told Mark, I guess all I listen to most is metal and there’s always those influences in my writing, but somehow I mix a lot of different things in my own songs, but this is more a heavy song
Straight up guitar-based, drums and vocals, and I think there’s a bit of keyboard in there. It’s kind of like a heavy, groovy song. The song is called ‘Lightning Strikes Twice,’ and we’re gonna release it on July 28th.”
Two months later, the duo announced their signing with Golden Robot Records, and now the fans are waiting for their upcoming album. She announced the deal by stating that she is really excited about this new chapter of her life.
Here is what she wrote in the caption:
“So excited for this new chapter!!!”
Her and Metallica fans are excited to see what else Chloe will bring to the music world and shared their excitement in the comment section. They congratulated the duo, stating that they are a good match in terms of music.
