The lead guitarist of Metallica, Kirk Hammett posted a photo with his longtime friend and bandmate Rob Trujillo taken while they were eating bugs for lunch in honor of his 56th birthday.
The legendary bass guitarist of the thrash metal band Metallica, Rob Trujillo first joined the band in 2003 after the recording of ‘St. Anger’ album. Before joining Metallica, Rob was playing with Suicidal Tendencies and Ozzy Osbourne‘s band. As the current bassist for Metallica, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame alongside all current members of the band, James Hetfield, Kirk Hammett, and Lars Ulrich.
The talented bass guitarist has recently turned 56 years old on October 23rd. His friends and family members celebrated Trujillo’s birthday via various posts and messages on social media platforms.
Recently on Instagram, Kirk Hammett also posted a picture with his longtime friend and bandmate Rob Trujillo in honor of his 56th birthday. However, the photo he posted was rather an interesting one. As you will see in the picture below, Kirk and Rob are eating bugs on a lunch break during rehearsals.
In the caption, Hammett referred to his dear friend as his ‘fellow musical brother‘ and wished him to continue to have an amazing musical trip in the future. Kirk also wished a happy birthday by sending much love to his bandmate.
