Former Metallica bassist, Ron McGovney posted recent tweets on his official Twitter account and sent his get well soon message, and shared his support with James Hetfield who struggles with his alcohol addiction.
Here is his touching statement:
“James Hetfield has been a friend of mine long before @Metallica. I always looked up to him as a musician even when we were in high school.
If he needs anything, he has my number. I have been sober for 2 years. It’s not easy. I’m with you big guy.”

Respect on the 2years sober, addiction is a formidable foe that knows man's weaknesses. Hope this isn't the end of an era, they've been absolutely crushing since Hardwired but with little rest.
