Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich has posted a TBT photo on his official Instagram post and recalled the time that Metallica visited Chicago for the first time ever in 1983.

In the photo, you can see that Lars is definitely in his prime time, where he can play drums very fast and heavy like a beast. In the caption area, Lars stated that the photo was taken by Kevin Hodapp.

Here’s what he wrote on the photo:

“Today we are going back… Way back! Metallica Mondays coming at ya in full effect from the first time we visited Chicago in 1883… Sorry, 1983.

On the road with our pals in Raven, touring across the U.S., 19 years old, full of piss and vinegar and ready for whatever was incoming. Enjoy!”

A fan named Emilia commented:

“Love it! The glitchy footage is such a time warp. Weird to think you guys were my age during this. What fucking legends!”

Another fan named Matheus mentioned the thing Lars didn’t write anything in the Instagram post and said:

“You forgot to mention that you’re also rocking that sweet ‘83 mustache!
