The old-time friends of all Metallica members and also the photographer of the band, Ross Halfin, took to his official Instagram account today and shared the funny story he had with Led Zeppelin members, back in 1995.

As much as being known as the long-time photographer of Metallica, Ross was also hanging with Led Zeppelin members Robert Plant and Jimmy Page, while they were touring in lots of destinations in the ’80s and ’90s.

According to the recently unearthed story of Ross, Plant and Page’s orchestra has stolen Ross’ dinner at Glastonbury. Ross shared the details of this rare-told story on his verified Instagram account and also told why he’s still hating being in Glastonbury.

Here is the story:

“25 Years ago today I was at Glastonbury with Page and Plant. I remember I had made a big picnic hamper thinking “I’ll make a day of it” as it was a nice day, after the show I came back for dinner and it was all gone, I then found out that a couple of members from Page and Plant’s orchestra had stolen it and eaten everything.

This was a common theme with the orchestra who after touring with them on and off for the 2-year tour, would always tell you that you were their friend and brother whilst putting one hand in your back pocket or devising a different way to scam you. I suppose you could have called it brothers in wallets.”

He continued:

“On another note, Glastonbury – everyone thinks it’s sooooo spiritual – I’ve been there three times with Page and Plant, The Black Crowes and Metallica, and each time I’ve HATED it.

They treat the photographers, who are just there doing their jobs, like cattle or as if they’re some sort of a threat. It’s about as spiritual as the Bank of England, as all the Farmer who runs it seems to care about is making money and lots of it. #rosshalfin #glastonbury1995″
