In a conversation for The Howard Stern Show, Metallica frontman James Hetfield shared his thoughts on the band’s live performance with the pop icon Lady Gaga and revealed what he felt about her personality and music.

As you may recall, the legendary heavy metal band Metallica had a fascinating performance with the pop star Lady Gaga at the 2017 Grammy Awards. Together they performed  ‘Moth Into Flame‘ from Metallica’s ‘Hardwired… to Self-Destruct‘ album.

Furthermore, James Hetfield’s microphone was switched off and Lady Gaga offered her mic to him. They had to share the microphone for the rest of the show. Although there were some technical errors, their performance was appreciated by fans all around the world.

During a recent interview for The Howard Stern Show, Metallica vocalist James Hetfield talked about his experience of performing live with Lady Gaga. Hetfield also revealed his thoughts on the pop icon’s personality and music.

According to his statements, James respected the discipline that Lady Gaga had and gave an example that he observed during their show at the Grammys. He mentioned that Gaga actually went there long before them to practice her moves and focus on her performance.

Here’s what James Hetfield stated about his thoughts on Lady Gaga:

“I just respect her as an artist. She was there for two hours before we even got there, working on her moves and thinking stuff up. She is an extremely creative and fearless artist.”
