The iconic lead guitarist of Metallica, Kirk Hammett shared a photo from the recent Black Lives Matter demonstrations on Instagram and called the protestors as ‘heroes.’

Metallica‘s talented guitarist Kirk Hammett has been among the musicians and celebrities who use social media platforms to reach out to the fans and also be the voice of the voiceless.

Recently on his Instagram account, Kirk posted a photo from the demonstrations in London and impressed by the hero act of a protestor. As you will see in the photo below, a black man is carrying an injured white man to help him go to the hospital. The more interesting part of the scene was that the white man was actually a far-right counter-protestor.

On the caption of his post, Kirk stated his appreciation of the protestor’s behavior and called the man a ‘hero‘:

This man is a hero. Yes, we need more heroes like him. We all need to work together to be better.
