Metallica and Lou Reed released their collaborative album “Lulu” on November 1, 2011 via Warner Bros. Upon its release, Lulu received extremely negative response from many fans and several critics.

In 2013, Lou Reed has passed away at the age of 71. His cause of death was confirmed as liver disease by his doctor.

Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich has shared a Instagram post and paid tribute to late musician Lou Reed. He said:

Thinking of you today Lou… forever grateful for the incredible and inspiring time we spent together.

Hard to believe it’s already been five years since you left this beautiful planet.”

Lars also shared a photo featuring his two fans from Denmark. Here’s what he wrote:

“This is Jonathan from Mexico who’s with Luciana from Brazil… they live in Canada
and they’re takin’ a picture with a guy from Denmark backstage at a rock show in the United States…

Who’s says music doesn’t transcend borders and cultures??? And brings us all closer together!! Happy Saturday!
