Paris Jackson, the daughter of Michael Jackson and indie-folk singer, has spoken about her brand new debut album, ‘Wilted,’ for the first time after its release and touched upon her struggle to protect her mental health within the chaos of 2020.

The beautiful model and a talented musician, Paris Jackson, has released her solo studio album, ‘Wilted,’ on November 13, 2020, which is her first musical project after she’s broken up with Gabriel Glenn, who was the long-time boyfriend and bandmate of Paris.

The album was co-written and produced by Manchester Orchestra’s Andy Hull, with additional instrumentation and engineering from his MO bandmate Robert McDowell. In an interview with the Associated PressJackson said she hoped the album will help people feel a little less lonely.

During her comprehensive chat with Miles Holder for Fault Magazine, Paris has opened up about her latest project a bit more and said that it’s written about loss and all the things that happened during that loss.

She has confessed that she felt betrayed and alone, and so the songs delve into all the feelings which came with that loss. Holder concentrated on this feeling of loneliness and asked her about this terrible year which brought not only a devastating breakup into the singer’s life but also health and economical crises into the world.

Paris Jackson unveiled that she’s a big advocate for therapy, even if you describe yourself as a healthy person. She said that she has kept herself sane through therapy in these tough days while remarking on the significance of raising awareness and removing the stigma of mental health issues.

Here’s what Paris Jackson said when asked how she managed to protect her mental health in 2020:

“I’m a big advocate for therapy, even if you are quote-unquote ‘healthy.’ Therapy has been a big part of my journey, and I think it’s really important that we raise awareness and remove the stigma of mental health issues.”

She also talked about one of the most soulful songs in her album, ‘Freight Train,’ and said:

“It’s written about loss and all the things that happened during that loss. I felt betrayed and alone, and so the song delves into all the feelings which came with that loss. “
