The official Twitter page of MTV shared an interview video of pop icon Michael Jackson’s daughter Paris Jackson in which she revealed the meanings of her tattoos and apparently, most of them are music-related, such as lyrics and album names.
During an interview named ‘Musical Firsts’ with MTV, Paris Jackson opened up about the first song she performed which is ‘Hurt’ by Nine Inch Nails, the first song she wrote which is ‘Undone,’ and many more about her music career and her influences.
At some point, Paris Jackson was asked about her first music-related tattoos, and seemingly, Jackson has a bunch of those covering her body from the Beatles’ song lyrics, Radiohead’s song lyrics, Led Zeppelin’s four symbols, seven tattoos from her father, Michael Jackson, and many more.
Here is what Jackson said:
“I got ‘Jai Guru Deva Om’ in Sanskrit, which is the lyric from ‘Across the Universe’ by the Beatles. I got John Lennon’s handwriting from the song ‘Imagine,’ Manchester Orchestra. I’ve got lyrics from ‘Nice Dream’ off of the Radiohead ‘Bends’ album as well as lyrics from ‘Black Star’ off the same album.
I’ve got Explosions in the Sky here. I’ve got Zeppelin on the back of my arm. I mean, I’ve got like seven tattoos from my dad. I’ve got Jack Stauber, Mötley Crüe, Van Halen, David Bowie, Prince, Butch Walker. Most of them are music-related, I could keep going but that’s the general idea.”
Furthermore, Paris Jackson’s tattoos dedicated to her father include ‘Bad’ written on her right hand, Jackson’s cover art from his 1991 album ‘Dangerous’ on her forearm, and also she wrote ‘With every step I take, you lift my foot and guide me forward. Love you,’ alongside a photo of the word ‘Apple Head’ tattooed on her left foot which was a nickname that Michael’s children and fans called the King of Pop, and many more.
