Mötley Crüe guitarist and co-founder, Mick Mars, recently posted a photo on his Instagram account after months of being inactive on social media, to celebrate a day that was very special to both himself and the history of metal music.
As you may recall, Mick Mars’ last Instagram post, was approximately five months ago and it was a photo in front of the legendary bar ‘Cafe Wha?’ but since then, he has been quite absent on social media. Nonetheless, he had posted one tweet on Christmas Day to celebrate his fans’ holiday season.
However, yesterday was a very special day and it would be weird if he hadn’t posted anything. As you may recall, the iconic American heavy metal band Mötley Crüe was founded in 1981 and they achieved mainstream success in a short matter of time. Since their formation, they have released nine albums and all of them ranked in the Top 10 of the Billboard Charts.
The band is also famous for their great live performances and most of their career, they toured all around the world. Mick Mars recently posted a photo from one of their tours and celebrated his band’s 40th anniversary. He referred to himself and his bandmates as ‘strange visitors from another planet’ referring to their groundbreaking work in the metal scene.
Here’s what Mick Mars said in the caption of his recent Instagram post:
