Dream Theater’s former drummer, Mike Portnoy, recently posted a video on his Instagram account and excited his fans by sharing the drum cam footage of himself playing Tranantlantic’s new album‘s second single, ‘The World We Used To Know.’
Mike Portnoy is known for his successful career as the drummer of Dream Theatre, his work in numerous side projects, tribute bands, and for forming the supergroup Liquid Tension Experiment in 1997. He’s also the drummer and long-term member of the rock supergroup Transatlantic.
The supergroup had released their last album in 2014 but in November 2020, fans were informed that the supergroup would release a new album on February 5, 2021. The new album’s teaser was released by Inside Out Music and it was announced that the album will be named ‘The Absolute Universe.’
With his recent Instagram post, Mike Portnoy excited his fans even more as he shared footage of himself playing the drums for ‘The Absolute Universe’s’ second single named ‘The World We Used To Know.’ His excellent drumming skills were praised by thousands of people who kept saying that they cannot wait for the new album.

“With Transatlantic’s Epic album(s) The Absolute Universe being released one month from today, here’s the Drum (& Vox) Cam for our 2nd single ‘The World We Used To Know.’
