The drummer of German-based rock band Scorpions, Mikkey Dee, shared a video on his official Instagram page to show the rehearsals of the band’s new song named ‘Seventh Sun.’
Scorpions released their latest studio recording named ‘Return To Forever’ in 2015. After releasing their eighteenth album, the band decided to part ways with the original drummer James Kottak and hired former Motörhead star Mikkey Dee.
After Mikkey joined the band, they only released two singles named ‘Follow Your Heart’ and ‘Sign of Hope‘ in six years. While Scorpions fans have been excitedly waiting for the band’s new studio album, today, Mikkey shared a new rehearsal video from the studio and teased their upcoming song.
According to the recent reports of Germany’s Metal Hammer, the band finished their nineteenth studio recording at Peppermint Park Studios in Hannover, and they are planning to release the LP in early 2022. In the video’s caption, Mikkey said that their new song is ‘pretty damn heavy,’ and they are trying to get ready for their upcoming tour.
Here is what Mikkey said in the caption of the Instagram video:
“Scorpions – rehearsing new songs for the upcoming tour. Pretty damn heavy.”
You may remember from one of our recently published articles that Mikkey posted yet another video on his official Instagram page this week and updated Scorpions fans about what they have been up to for the past months. The drummer revealed that he got together with his bandmates for rehearsals since they haven’t done any for some time and began recording the upcoming album.
