One of the most controversial pop stars of the period, Miley Cyrus has made a shocking announcement during the recent interview she gave that she has been working on a Metallica cover album for a while now.

Former Disney teen idol and famous singer-songwriter, Miley Ray Cyrus, has lately made a conversation about her recklessness and future plans in music on the Interview magazine. At the beginning of her talk, Cyrus has given the highly unexpected news about the cover album.

She said that they’ve been working on a Metallica cover album and they’re so lucky to be able to continue to work on art during all of this COVID mess that has been damaging humanity for months.

Though her music spans a range of styles, from pop and country-pop to hip hop, Cyrus’ statement has shaken the metal fanbase. The world’s biggest metal magazine, Metal Hammer, has interpreted the news by saying it must be a huge joke.

As you might remember, Miley Cyrus has covered Metallica’s ‘Nothing Else Matters,’ as well as Temple Of The Dog’s ‘Say Hello 2 Heaven,’ at last year’s Chris Cornell tribute show. Her performance has stunned the drummer and co-founder of Metallica, Lars Ulrich.

A Metallica fan named Mace wrote this about the situation:

“Wow. So much butthurt on one post. I’m a lifelong metal fan but I’m also a father of four girls so Myley and Hannah M have been a mainstay on my tv and stereo for years. The girl can sing. Interested to hear how this comes out!”

Another Metallica fan named Triff shared this:

“Nothing wrong with that I say. Metallica did a covers album and did the fans of the original blow up? I don’t remember it happening. Obviously Metallica says it’s ok.”
