In a recent interview with Capital FM, pop -and now rock- musician Miley Cyrus talked about her upcoming Metallica cover album which will be featuring Elton John and Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith.

Miley Cyrus’s career as a musician started during her teenage years when she reached fame as a teenage pop star and had her own show, Hannah Montana. Even though she started out with pop, she then turned country and hip hop music in the later years of her musical career. For instance, her sixth studio album, named ‘Younger Now’ was released in 2017 and the album’s genre can be identified as country.

However, Miley Cyrus seems to have shifted to rock as her seventh album ‘Plastic Hearts,’ which was released on November 27, 2020, is her only rock album to this day. Her released album singles achieved critical acclaim and she too had admitted that she was born to make this record, and made it public that she has found the genre that makes her feel fulfilled.

In her recent interview, she talked about her highly anticipated upcoming Metallica cover album and revealed that her ‘Nothing Else Matters’ cover will be featuring Elton John. She also said that she’ll be doing a cover of ‘Yo-Yo Ma’ by Red Hot Chili Peppers with Chad Smith. Cyrus laughed and said ‘I love it when ingredients don’t quite fit‘ and said that unconventional mix really excites her.

Here’s what Miley Cyrus said in her recent interview:

“So, I did a Metallica cover of ‘Nothing Else Matters’ featuring Elton John on the piano. I’ve got ‘Yo-Yo Ma,’ Chad Smith – just so many all-stars.

I’m so excited about this collaboration. Andrew Watt produced it, and I’m really stoked. I mean, having Elton John and Metallica and me – I love it when ingredients don’t quite fit, you know? Or it seems like a concoction that no-one would ever put together, and you’ve got to have someone wild enough like Watt that will take that risk.”
