The iconic bass guitarist of Mötley Crüe, Nikki Sixx, shared a selfie with the fans on Instagram and opened up about the two places he got closest to God: ‘Alaska and Wyoming.’

As you might remember, ‘The Stadium Tour’ of Mötley Crüe, Def Leppard, Poison, which was supposed to kick off June 18, 2020, was postponed due to the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic. Mötley Crüe members have been continuing the preparations for the rescheduled tour in their homes.

During the self-quarantine days, Mötley Crüe co-founder and bass guitarist Nikki Sixx has been sharing moments of his daily life with his wife Courtney Sixx and their newborn daughter Ruby in Wyoming where they have recently moved.

Recently, Nikki posted a selfie on Instagram and shared the two places in America where he felt closest to God. Apparently, Alaska and Wyoming were the two places that had a huge impact on Nikki and his spirituality.

On the caption of his post, he mentioned he had been working on a book and a musical while waiting for a world tour with Mötley Crüe. Moreover, Nikki stated that the mountains and open space in Wyoming affected his creativity and he felt connected to nature somehow.

Here’s what Nikki Sixx wrote about the environment around him on the caption of his post:

The 2 places I’ve felt closest to God are in Alaska and Wyoming. Being relocated to Wyoming most of the time, I am feeling reconnected to some new creativity already. Every now and again in life, you need to rethink your purpose here. Right now I am here to reset, restart, and recreate.

I am working on a book, a musical, and awaiting a world tour with Mötley Crür but as we all know It’s the simple stuff that really inspires us, at least for me it is. These mountains, the wide-open spaces, the people and the wildlife is grounding to me. I don’t need fire, unfortunately, it burns constantly inside me, what I need is a new purpose to apply the fire too.

Really excited about the future but no time like the present to look back and reflect. I am not running away from anything, I am running head-on towards something new…
