On Instagram, the former vocalist of Mötley Crüe, John Corabi, posted the photos of a conversation he had with some company online and revealed they actually ripped him off by promising to give his account verification.

As you may recall, Mötley Crüe parted ways with their iconic singer Vince Neil in 1992 and they hired John Corabi as his replacement. Corabi had been the frontman of the band between 1992 and 1996 and recorded the self-titled ‘Mötley Crüe’ album in 1994.

Recently on Instagram, the former member of Mötley Crüe, John Corabi posted the photos of a conversation he had someone who claimed to be working for Instagram. Apparently, Corabi had some problems with getting copied on his Instagram account and he wanted to officially verify his personal page.

To solve his problem, John contacted these people allegedly working for Instagram and they stated that he had to pay to receive official verification. Even though Corabi paid $55.00, they asked more and more money each time. Later he realized this was actually a scam and shared this experience with his fans and followers on Instagram to warn them about the fraud.

Here’s what John Corabi stated on the caption:

Ok. I’m an Idiot!!! I just got scammed on Instagram by the people below…I’ve been getting copied on my Instagram page, so I reached out for the “Official Verification” button. I was contacted by someone who claimed to be working with the Instagram offices, and they told me it was going to cost me for the button.

I checked with a few friends and they said they did actually pay, so I thought it was “legit.” After sending $55.00, I was then told it was another $80.00 to releases my account. Then they told me they wanted another $50.00… I just told them to go fuck themselves, and I’m searching for a Facebook/Instagram hotline… Beware!!!!!
