Korn drummer Ray Luzier posted a photo with Mötley Crüe lead guitarist Mick Mars on his official Instagram account to announce their collaboration for Mars’ long-waited debut solo studio album and expressed his happiness and excitement.
Mars has been working on the songs of his first solo album for more than five years but the guitarist has never shared neither the name nor the release date of it. He had only once said that he will reinvent his style with the album. Therefore, fans have been impatiently waiting to hear some details about the upcoming album of the Mötley Crüe icon.
The first detail was given by Alabama musician Jacob Bunton when he unveiled that he was the lead singer of the album. Bunton stated that they wrote and recorded songs together with Mick Mars and the songs were produced by Michael Wagener who was the producer of Metallica’s ‘Master of Puppets.’
Moreover, in his recent Instagram post, Korn drummer Ray Luzier announced that he has teamed up with Mick Mars as the drummer of his upcoming solo studio album. Luzier, who is a huge fan of Mötley Crüe, defined playing with Mars as a surreal experience while expressing his happiness for being in this project.
The caption of Luzier’s IG post read:
“When Mars invades your studio… It’s an honor to work with this legendary Mick Mars! I’ve always loved his playing & tasty leads in Mötley. To be playing on his solo record is pretty surreal, be on the lookout for it! Plus he & his wife Seraina Mars are amazing humans.”
