Nikki Sixx, the co-founder and iconic bassist of Mötley Crüe, has explained what he thinks about the overall politics in the US and sadly admitted that he has reverted to his early 20’s belief system at this point in his life.

As you may remember the great musician, Nikki Sixx, has given an interview to Yahoo! talking about why he is so reluctant to publicly share his political opinions as the presidential election is pretty soon. He said that he’s not a politician, but a rock star.

On the other hand, Sixx added that he neither really wants to just stick to playing bass, nor wants to alienate and have a mudslinging contest. One of the leading figures in the metal community and the loudest voice when it comes to stand up for his political views, Dee Snider, has reacted to Nikki Sixx’s statement.

Soon after the conversation he made on Yahoo!, Nikki has detailed his political opinions via Twitter. He said that it is sad to admit, but, he has reverted to his early 20’s belief system, which means he doesn’t believe in very many politicians anymore.

Sixx has mentioned that he sees all of these people mostly self serving and as the popularity-hunters. He said he will still vote but, unfortunately, not with a belly full of confidence.

Here is what Nikki Sixx said in his recent tweet:

“Sad to say but I have reverted to my early 20’s belief system and don’t believe in very many politicians anymore. They are mostly self serving and personal agenda’s dwarfs human needs. Sadly ‘Anything to be popular’ I’ll still vote but not with a belly full of confidence.”
