The co-founder and the bassist of Mötley Crüe, Nikki Sixx, recently posted a photo on his Instagram account and announced that the newly released Italian translation of his autobiographical book ‘The Heroin Diaries‘ ranked first on Amazon Italy and thanked his Italian fans for their immense support.
Even though Nikki Sixx achieved mainstream fame as the bassist of the iconic metal band Mötley Crüe, he’s also appreciated for his writing skills and has published three books to this date. In fact, at the beginning of March, he had announced that he’s currently working on two different books, one of which will probably be released this year.
He released his first book ‘The Dirt: Confessions of the World’s Most Notorious Rock Band’ in 2001 in collaboration with his bandmates, which remained on the New York Times Bestseller list for four weeks. After that, he released his first solo book ‘The Heroin Diaries: A Year in the Life of a Shattered Rock Star’ in 2007. This autobiographical book included Sixx‘s diary entries and explored his journey through depression and drug dependency.
The Italian enlarged special edition of ‘The Heroin Diaries’ was published on March 17, 2021, and it immediately ranked Number 1 on Amazon Italy’s Biography for Heavy Metal category and Number 6 on all biographies. In the caption of his post, Nikki Sixx expressed his happiness and thanked his Italian fans for their support and love.
Here’s what Nikki Sixx said in the caption of his recent post:
“#1 in Italy – Grazie! ‘The Heroin Dairies‘ Italian language release has opened as the Number 1 Biography for heavy metal and Number 6 for all biographies!
