The legendary heavy metal band Mötley Crüe‘s recently posted a photo on their official Instagram account and their post attracted a lot of attention due to a misconception in relation to Axl Rose.

Mötley Crüe recently confused their fans and followers with a 1983 concert poster that they posted on Mötley Crüe’s official Instagram account. The misunderstanding was not Mötley Crüe’s fault but it definitely excited their fans and followers for a few seconds.

The photo that Mötley Crüe recently posted on their Instagram account features the band in a black and white poster of their upcoming concert back in 1983. There are many points that attracted attention, such as the entry fee being $10.75, but the most discussed one was the Special Guest.

Even though under the title ‘Special Guest‘ there is the name Axe, the hard rock band from Florida which disbanded in 2012, a lot of followers misread it as Axl. Chronologically, it actually wouldn’t be impossible as Axl Rose co-founded Holywood Rose, known as the precursor of Guns N’ Roses, in 1983.

However, Hollywood Rose was unfortunately not that successful and Axl Rose held down numerous jobs during that time, while still struggling to make an impact on the Hollywood music scene. Even though fans and followers were amused by the thought that Mötley Crüe’s special guest was Axl Rose, unfortunately, it is not true.

Here is the comment of an excited Mötley Crüe and Guns N’ Roses fan:

“I thought that below of the Mötley Crüe it was written Axl and not Axe😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂”
