After the saddening death of Foo Fighters’ beloved drummer Taylor Hawkins, the band announced the tribute shows for the late musician. Mötley Crüe’s Nikki Sixx and KISS’ Gene Simmons are among the performers.
Taylor Hawkins was a treasured drummer who has been in Foo Fighters since 1999 and has established a career and friendships with the band. Their ventures were going strong, and they had just released a film ‘Studio 666’ when the bad news arrived as a shock to his loved ones.
Hawkins was found dead in his hotel room in Colombia after reporting needing help as he was suffering from chest pain. It was too late to save him when help arrived, and the drummer left this world untimely. His influence was even more apparent after he passed away, as most musicians shared their stories and showed their sadness towards losing him.
Foo Fighters canceled their tours and performances to take some time to heal before being able to show themselves to the public. However, almost two months after he passed away, the band and the Hawkins family decided to hold tribute concerts and include some of the most known musicians. The tribute lineup was released recently, including Mötley Crüe’s Nikki Sixx and KISS’ Gene Simmons as performers.
Here is the caption of the Instagram announcement:
