Mötley Crüe’s founder, bassist and the creative bone Nikki Sixx made it in the New York Times Best-seller list once again and only two weeks after his book’s release. This is the fourth time that the bassist reached the success of becoming a best-selling author.
Nikki Sixx is known to be the creative force behind all the lyrics of Mötley Crüe and he had shown his talents in songwriting over and over again throughout the years. He founded the band in 1981 and rose it to success with his bandmates. The band went through a lot of struggles from drug and alcohol addiction. Even though they are all sober now, they did make mistakes, got hurt, and hurt others in the past.
All of these were depicted by Nikki Sixx in the books he penned throughout the years. He first released ‘The Dirt: Confessions of the World’s Most Notorious Rock Band‘ in 2001. Its first edition was on the New York Times Bestseller list for four weeks. ‘The Dirt’ was so successful that Netflix made it into a movie in 2019 starring Douglas Booth and Machine Gun Kelly.
Later, Sixx released ‘The Heroin Diaries’ and ‘This Is Gonna Hurt’ which are also among his books that made it to the best-seller list. ‘The Heroin Diaries’ showed the life of Nikki as a heroin addict, and it debuted on the list at number seven. On the other hand, ‘This Is Gonna Hurt: Music, Photography, and Life Through the Distorted Lens of Nikki Sixx’ was a picture book where Sixx showed his other hobby, photography, through a book.
Nikki Sixx released ‘The First 21’ on October 19 and he made it to the New York Times Bestseller list for the fourth time in his life. Since this is a great accomplishment, he recognized it by thanking and sending emojis to people who congratulated him on Twitter.
Here is his gratitude tweet:
“Thank you.”
The rockstar started to get more up close and personal with his writing throughout the years and this time, ‘The First 21’ revealed his life when he was Franklin Carlton Feranna, not Nikki Sixx. He penned his life experiences growing up with his grandparents, and having a difficult time with his mother as well as his journey becoming Nikki Sixx.
