The co-founder and iconic bassist of Mötley Crüe, Nikki Sixx has humorously confessed that he’s a member of the bass players’ cult, named the 78, the secret society of bass playing gentlemen, during a conversation on Twitter.
As you might know, Sixx has been taking his time for some great family trips lately. He has headed to Mexico with his family, after getting used to living in a more natural environment in their new home, Wyoming.
While sharing some of the amazing shots he took in Mexico and displaying the lovely moments he has spent with his little daughter, Ruby, Nikki Sixx has interacted with his fans and answered their tweets.
A fan of Sixx, whose nickname is Canadian cartoonist, asked him and the famous bass guitarist, Rudy Sarzo, if they are friends or all the bass player guys communicate regularly with each other, like a bass cult.
Before Sixx, Sarzo has responded to their fan by saying go back to 1978, before they got in the rock and roll egg. Sixx has contributed to Rudy Sarzo and admitted that they are the 78, the secret society of bass playing gentlemen.
Rudy Sarzo, who is a Cuban born hard rock and heavy metal bassist, is best known for his work with Quiet Riot, Ozzy Osbourne, and Whitesnake. He has also played with several well-known acts including Manic Eden, Dio, Blue Öyster Cult, Geoff Tate’s Queensrÿche, and Devil City Angels. He is currently the bass player of The Guess Who.
Here’s what the follower of Sixx, whose nickname is Canadian cartoonist, asked by mentioning him and Sarzo:
“So are you two friends or do you all you bass player guys communicate regularly with each other? Like a bass cult?”
Rudy Sarzo responded as:
“Go back to 1978, before we got in the rock and roll egg.”
Nikki Sixx has also answered and said:
“We are the 78 – The secret society of bass playing gentlemen.”
