Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx shared a post on his official Instagram page expressing his appreciation for the postponement of the ‘Stadium Tour.’ Apparently, it wasn’t a hard decision to make in the first place since touring would put people’s lives at risk in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic.
Just like every other public gathering, the ‘Stadium Tour‘ including Mötley Crüe, Def Leppard, Poison, and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts was pushed to 2021 summer. The tour was initially set for the summer of 2020, yet, the restrictions and precautions against coronavirus outbreak made touring impossible, especially when it first started.
Although there were a number of bands and musicians who decided to tour this summer following the discovery of the coronavirus vaccine, Mötley Crüe wasn’t one of them. The band revealed that the dates for the Stadium Tour have officially been pushed once again because of the coronavirus pandemic via a post on their Instagram page. The new dates for the tour start on June 16 in Atlanta, Ga, and fans are hopeful for the next year if the world can get rid of the COVID-19 for good.
Since the bands who started touring recently have been announcing positive tests for the coronavirus such as Korn’s Jonathan Davis, Nikki Sixx shared a post on his official IG account on their decision to delay their tour. Apparently, the bassist is very pleased with the band’s choice when it comes to touring in the midst of a pandemic.
Furthermore, the Mötley Crüe icon stressed how it wasn’t a struggling decision to make for the band members since they would be putting many lives at risk if they were to tour. While revealing his personal opinion about the postponement, Sixx didn’t forget to mention how much he missed being on the road and cannot wait to reunite with his fans next year.
The text in the picture follows:
“I’m so happy we decided to not tour during this pandemic…”
Sixx himself captioned the IG post:
“Not a hard decision to make when so many people’s lives are at risk. I MISS IT ‘REALLY’ BAD AND CAN’T WAIT TO HIT THE ROAD IN 2022.”
Being a close friend of Nikki Sixx in addition to being bandmates in a superband named L.A. Rats, John 5 commented on the post supporting his fellow musician’s approach. The guitarist praised the mind behind this decision with one word and apparently, the fans agree as it became the most liked comment under the IG post.
