Mötley Crüe bassist and co-founder Nikki Sixx shared the album cover of their debut album ‘Too Fast For Love’ on his official Instagram page in order to celebrate its 39th anniversary and stated that he remembers the day they recorded the album which apparently includes damaging brain cells.

‘Too Fast For Love’ is the debut studio album by Mötley Crüe, the first edition, which was only 900 copies, was released on November 10, 1981, on the band’s original label ‘Leathür Records.’ In the following year, Elektra Records signed the band and the album was remixed and partially re-recorded. The re-release had a different track listing and has become the standard version of the album.

The debut album ultimately reached platinum status despite the fact that it only reached number 77 on the Billboard 200 album chart in the United States of America.

For ‘Too Fast For Love’ debut album of Mötley Crüe, bassist Nikki Sixx reposted Mötley Crüe’s official Instagram post, the album cover which was a homage to The Rolling Stones‘ 1971 album ‘Sticky Fingers,’ on his official Instagram page.

Sixx celebrated the 39th anniversary of the album while opening up about the recording day of their debut album and stated that he remembers the day in Los Angeles with great memories and, sarcastically, some damaged brain cells.

Here is what Sixx said:

“I remember the day we cut this album live off the floor in Los Angeles. Great memories and some damaged brain cells too: -Repost from Mötley Crüe

The black and white album cover pictured here with the smaller logo is the first edition which was released on our own label ‘Leathür Records.’ Anyone who has heard this version will know it’s a completely different recording.
The Elektra Records reissue with the red logo is the remixed and standard version. It features a different track listing and was released on August 20, 1982.”
