Former Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Bernie Torme has passed away at the age of 66. Bernie was extremely battling “virulent double pneumonia” since last three months.
Black Sabbath legend Ozzy Osbourne has posted an emotional message to Bernie on Instagram. He described him as “a gentle soul with a heart of gold”.
Ozzy wrote:
“What a sad day. We’ve lost another great musician. Bernie was a gentle soul with a heart of gold. He will be dearly missed.
I send my sincere condolences to his family, friends and fans. Rest in Peace Bernie.”
Ozzy’s current guitarist, legendary Zakk Wylde also shared a message about Bernie as follows:
“GOD BLESS BERNIE TORME • 1952 – 2O19 • I feel Blessed I got the Opportunity to Tell St.Bernie I saw Him & Oz at The Garden in NYC right after St.Rhoads had passed away – I told him what an Impact he had on a 15 year old’s life which is part of who I am today – It was great seeing him smile when I told him how Amazing his playing was that night & How he made everybody in The Building feel as if Randy’s Presence was w/All of us – tBLSt SDMF @bernie.torme”
