Ozzy Osbourne’s daughter Kelly Osbourne recently took to her Instagram to share with her followers that she has been sober for a year.
Kelly Osbourne had been dealing with severe substance addiction issues for years. In April 2004, she entered rehab after admitting that she had a painkiller addiction. She checked into a drug treatment facility a year later after a relapse.
In January 2009, Kelly entered another drug treatment center and stayed for a month. She was released after 30 days and tried to stay sober like her father, Ozzy Osbourne, who stayed away from substances for about seven years.
In a 2020 Instagram post, Kelly stated she was scared, desperately unhappy, lonely, and broken during that period. However, the Black Sabbath icon’s daughter relapsed again last year during the lockdowns after four years of sobriety.
In a recent Instagram post, Kelly Osbourne revealed that she has been sober for a year. She then celebrated this victory by sharing a picture that shows she didn’t consume any substances for 366 days. Kelly then thanked her followers for supporting her through this journey.
Osbourne’s Instagram post read:
“What a difference a year can make! If you had told me 365 days ago that I would be sober, happy, and about to be a mum, I would have laughed in your face. Life is truly amazing when you do the work. Thank you to everyone that has supported me on this journey. I love you all so much!”
