Pantera former frontman Phil Anselmo shared a picture of himself in the studio on his official Instagram page, yet it is not for an album like fans have been desperately asking for.
As you may remember Pantera disbanded back in 2003 due to tension between band members and communication problems which were both long-term problems that started when Anselmo nearly faced death in 1996 due to a heroin overdose.
Phil Anselmo continued his career as a solo artist and released two studio albums, ‘Walk Through Exists Only’ back in 2013 which was compared to Pantera’s ’96 album ‘The Great Southern Trendkill’ due to extreme vocals and guitar riffs. He also released ‘Choosing Mental Illness as a Virtue’ two years ago which generally received positive reviews from music critics.
It has been two years since his fans have been waiting for another album from Phil Anselmo. The picture he recently shared on his official Instagram page in the studio made some fans considering the possibility of a new album.
However, apparently, Anselmo was rehearsing in the studio for an upcoming streaming show which will start on November 25. Although the fans were slightly disappointed, they are still happy to see him making music.
Here is what Anselmo said:
“Rehearsing for the upcoming En Minor streaming show starting November 25th! Get your tickets and exclusive merch.”
