Pantera’s former frontman Phil Anselmo shared a video of Jason Momoa promoting SCOUR on his Instagram account and announced that fans can still catch SCOUR’s online event which will be watched by Momoa too.
As you may recall, Pantera disbanded back in 2003 due to growing tensions and communication problems between the band members which got even worse in 1996 when Anselmo nearly lost his life due to a heroin overdose. However, he continued his career as a solo artist and released numerous albums.
Then, Anselmo co-founded the extreme metal supergroup SCOUR in 2015 and plays alongside John Jarvis, Mark Kloeppel, Adam Jarvis, and Derek Engemann. The band made its debut with their well-appreciated single ‘Dispatched.’ The band released ‘The Black EP‘ in November 2020 via Anselmo’s Housecore label and it is said to be the band’s best work.
The EP was supported by guest appearances from actor Jason Momoa, Hate Eternal’s Erik Rutan, and Cannibal Corpse’s Pat O’Brien. The band’s SCOUR: ‘Live From the Lair’ Livestream took place on January 29, 2021, but on-demand replays it was decided to stream all weekend.
Anselmo recently posted a video of Jason Momoa on his Instagram account in which the actor can be seen wearing the merchandise sent by Anselmo and encouraging his fans to tune in and watch this great online concert.
Here’s what Phil Anselmo said in the caption of his recent Instagram post:
“Jason Momoa will be tuning in tonight, will you? 7pmEST w/ on-demand replays all weekend! SCOUR Live at the Lair! With special guest Shock Narcotic Tix & merch in bio! Gotta keep the Housecore Records ohana warm with swag & blistering tunes while up in the cold working on S2 of SEE. Mahalo Jason Momoa.”
