Pearl Jam recently posted a photo on their official Instagram account and announced that they had to, once again, reschedule their European Tour for 2022 due to the ongoing pandemic, but they also said that in order to thank their fans for their devotion, they’ll release their 2010 Hyde Park performance this Friday, April 2.
As you may recall, Pearl Jam released their latest album ‘Gigaton‘ in March 2020, which was the band’s first studio album after seven years. Before the album, the band released three singles which were highly appreciated by their fans who had missed listening to their favorite band.
The release of ‘Gigaton’ was supposed to coincide with a tour of North America but the concerts were postponed due to the outbreak of COVID-19. Initially, the dates of both the North American and European Tour were rescheduled for 2021. However, as it’s still not allowed to give concerts, the band had to postpone them once more.
In their recent Instagram post, Pearl Jam said that they have once again rescheduled their EU Tour dates for June and July 2022, and assured their fans that their purchased tickets will remain valid. In order to thank their devoted and patient fans, Pearl Jam decided to treat them with their unforgettable 2010 performance at Hyde Park, London, which they’ll be able to stream for free from Friday, April 2 until April 5.
Here’s what Pearl Jam said in the caption of their post:
“Pearl Jam’s 2021 European tour has been rescheduled for June and July of 2022. Previously purchased tickets remain valid. More info at the link in bio and stories.
To thank Pearl Jam fans for their patience during these times, stream the 2010 Hyde Park, London performance on Pearl Jam’s YouTube and Facebook and on nugs.net this weekend. Watch from Friday, April 2nd at 8 pm ET to Monday, April 5th at 11:59 pm.”
