The verified and official Instagram account of Pearl Jam has made a recent statement against racism and showed their support for the protesters who are defending the rights of the black people after the murder of George Floyd.

As Pearl Jam closed the comment section of the post, no one is able to share their thoughts. However, Eddie Vedder’s lovely wife Jill pushed the like button to show her support, alongside 45K people on Instagram.

Here is the letter of the band:

“Pearl Jam was started with a love for music and social justice. Our organization has been reflecting on where unconscious racism is still showing up in our own lives and how we can do better.

While we continue to dig in, we do not want to contribute to white voices overtaking the narrative that the Black community is sharing.

It is the responsibility of each of us to listen and educate ourselves on how to be better humans sharing this planet. A possible starting point in bio.”
