On Instagram, Pink Floyd icon David Gilmour‘s wife and author Polly Samson posted a picture of herself and her husband to announce a new project and she appreciated her husband’s talent as a producer.

Pink Floyd star David Gilmour and novelist Polly Samson have been happily married with four kids for a long time now. The couple recently celebrated the  28th anniversary of their marriage.

Polly Samson recently released her fifth book named ‘A Theatre for Dreamers,’ which depicts the life of an artistic community on a Greek island in the 1960s. The book made a big success and gained appreciation from the critics.

On her Instagram account, Polly posted a picture of herself and her husband and revealed the details of a new project she had been working on for a while. Apparently, David was also an important part of the project.

They were preparing an audiobook of Polly’s novel, ‘A Theatre For Dreamers,’ and the original actor was narrated by David Gilmour himself.  The couple’s daughter Romany Gilmour also contributed to their work by helping to complete the song. The audiobook will be available on June 25, 2020.

On the caption of her Instagram post, Polly also stated how much she impressed by her husband’s abilities as a producer and thanked him for all the efforts.

I am so grateful to David Gilmour for making the A Theatre For Dreamers audiobook happen when Covid-19 made it impossible for the original actor to narrate. Not only was he a brilliant producer (no mean feat with a sometimes grumpy and completely untrained narrator tackling characters of so many nationalities) but he’s also done something new by seeing that there’s a place for original music in an audiobook.

I couldn’t be happier with the result, and special thanks also due to our daughter Romany Gilmour who stepped in to help us complete the song, Yes, I Have Ghosts which makes its debut on the audiobook (which is released on 25th June)
