Polly Samson, who is the wife of Pink Floyd legend David Gilmour and veteran novelist, took to her official Instagram account to share a new post and announced the devastating death of their long-time friend.

In the post, Polly revealed that they are grieving the death of British publisher Thomas Michael Maschler, who died at the age of 87, who was also a great friend for the Gilmour-Samson family.

Maschler was a book publisher who worked with many other talented authors like Ernest Hemingway, Joseph Heller, and many more. Also, he worked with The Beatles legend John Lennon for his ‘In His Own Write’ and ‘A Spaniard In The Works’ books.

Polly shared a picture of Maschler to mourn his death and showed how saddened they are, even though Polly didn’t caption anything about the death of Maschler. With this post, she also paid her tribute to Maschler.

Here is what Polly Samson captioned:

“Vale Tom Maschler 1933 -2020.”
