The talented rap artist, Post Malone, joined a live video chat between Megadeth bassist David Ellefson and his business partner Thom Hazaert a few days ago. During the conversation, Post Malone, who was known for his love of rock music, was asked to name his favorite heavy metal bands.
“I’d say y’all. I mean, Megadeth has gotta be the best for me. I love Megadeth I love Metallica… I love… Fuck, man. So much shit… “
The famous rapper continued talking about another favorite band of his, Pantera, and gave the details of his admiration for the band’s vocalist Phil Anselmo:
“I love Pantera. I got to meet Phil backstage at a show, and he’s a cool-ass dude, and he talks like this. I’m, like, dude, it’s gotta hurt to talk like that, but he’s still fucking got it.”
Apparently, the friendship between Phil Anselmo and Post Malone goes way back. The two musicians got together last November at Slayer‘s show in Los Angeles and Anselmo posted a picture with the rapper on his Instagram account. On the caption of the post, Phil stated his thoughts about Post Malone:
“New blood meets old blood… it was a real pleasure to meet Post Malone, genuine & genuinely nice kid. The nieces & nephews are definitely jealous.”
