Freddie Mercury Club, which is a most famous Freddie fan page on Instagram, has posted some unseen photos of him and shared a rare interview line from the past to show the background of these photos.
British photographer Simon Fowler took Freddie’s special poses which were revealed by Freddie Mercury Club. In the caption area of the post, the page has revealed a rare interview of Fowler in which he’s talking about the little-known side of Freddie.
While talking about the photo shooting sessions of Queen, Fowler said that ‘Fred always liked to mess about in front of the camera,’ and added that ‘it was his nature.’
Here’s what he said:
“Shot this Portrait of Freddie at The Power House where Metropolis Studios is. Queen were shooting their video Headlong in 1991. Fred always liked to mess about in front of the camera. It was in his nature 😀…
This is a screengrab from a section of a contact sheet from that day. I love the contact sheets. This where see the shots leading up to the one that gets chosen.”
Freddie Mercury Club admin added a little comment over the statement of Fowler and wrote:
“Of course it was always in Freddie’s nature to be a delightful goofball in front of the camera making all the photos interesting…lucky photographers who got to capture him ❤
Always beautiful, always true to himself, and always emanating & inspiring joy and bravery in the face of ANYTHING that came his way from the beginning to the very end 👊”
