Queen co-founder and the guitarist of the band for decades, Brian May, has posted a new photo on his official and verified Instagram account today and celebrated his beloved mom’s Mother’s Day with a rare frame of them.

According to the caption of the photo, Brian and his mother’s cheerful photo was taken by the late father of Brian named Harold May. He also shared his longing for both his mother and dad in the caption.

While Brian May has chosen to celebrate her mom’s Mother’s Day today, the exact date of the day varies every year. However, Mother’s Day is largely celebrated on the second Sunday of May every single year. This year, Mother’s Day will be celebrated on May 9, 2021.

After sharing the post, almost 200K followers of Brian have liked the post including Slayer and Exodus guitarist Gary Holt.

Here is what Brian May wrote:

“Happy Mother’s Day folks. This is my own dear Mum and me “After a dip at Sidmouth, 1960”. Photo by my dear ol’ Dad, Harold May. Yes – I miss them both terribly. Treasure your Mums and Dads, folks. Tell them you love them.

Get them to talk about your childhood (and theirs) on video. Right now. Ask them all the questions you never asked. Because one day the door will close … and there will be no one to ask. Bri.”
